The death of a Penndel Borough woman who was discovered Saturday remains under investigation.

The 65-year-old woman was found deceased in her apartment in a building along Durham Road between Legrande Avenue and West Lincoln Highway around 11 a.m. Saturday.
Borough police and Bucks County Detectives descended on the scene as part of their probe. It was not clear why the woman’s death drew the interest of county investigators.
James O’Malley, the spokesperson for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, said an autopsy took place on Monday, but the cause of death is pending the return of toxicology tests, which could take weeks.
