Bristol Township Council last week recognized two members of its family who have passed away.

The Council first recognized Leslie Kolifrath, 48, secretary for the township manager. She lost her battle with breast cancer in January.

Council Vice President Cindy Murphy said Kolifrath enjoyed time with her kids, pets, family, and was a good fit with the township.

“She had a smile that lit up any room she walked into,” Murphy said.

Council President Craig Bowen presented Kolifrath’s kids, Jonathan and Gabrielle, with a copy of the Council resolution and condolences.

The Council next recognized Officer Steve Sanocki and his retired patrol K-9 Ela, who passed away earlier this month.

Ela, 12, who was partnered with Sanocki in 2008, was retired due to a medical issue in 2016 after a career as a explosive-detecting dog.
