Several vehicles that stopped early Sunday morning for a crash were struck by another vehicle moments later.

Police, firefighters, and medics responded to the area of Route 1 southbound just past the Pine Street (Route 413) overpass on the Langhorne Manor and Middletown border around 1:50 a.m.
Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said several vehicles had stopped to assist following a single-car crash. As those drivers were assisting along the highway, another vehicle struck the stopped cars.
There were no serious injuries, but several minor injuries were reported, Farry said.

The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad responded along with the fire company, Middletown police, and the Pennsylvania State Police, who are handling the investigation.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed until around 4 a.m.
