A former Bristol Township police intern will be joining the department as an officer.
Alexia Kondos, a Morrisville native who graduated from Pennsbury High School, will join the department and work in the administrative division until she completes the Temple University Municipal Police Academy. She is expected to complete the training in May and then hit the streets.

Chief of Police Robert Coulton said Kondos recently graduated West Chester University with a criminal justice degree. He cited her earning the summa cum laude graduation honor.
In 2018, Kondos served as an intern for the department.
“We like to have a summer internship program to cultivate highly qualified candidates for police officer positions,” Coulton said.

Craig Bowen, the Council president, said Kondos replaces a candidate who was previous hired but did not go forward with taking the job.
