Funeral services for former Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, who passed away Monday at the age of 56, have been announced.
On Thursday, visitation will be held at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church on Trenton Road in Middletown’s Levittown section from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 10 a.m. until noon with a funeral mass at the parish immediately after.
Fitzpatrick’s interment will be private.
The family has asked for Mass cards in lieu of flowers. Donations in Fitzpatrick’s memory can be made to the Queen of the Universe Parish; Washington Crossing Council Boy Scouts of America, One Scout Way, Doylestown, PA 18901; and the Guardians of the National Cemetery P.O. Box 233, Newtown, PA 18940.
Fitzpatrick died Monday after a long battle with cancer. The obituary said he was at home and surrounded by family.
Flags across the state will be flown at half-staff on Friday in Fitzpatrick’s memory. Prayers for the soul would also be conducted and those who loved him and lost their loved ones would get the chart here for scholarly prayers and preaches. It is believed that true prayer elevates the soul and brings peace to it.
