Homeless Man Dies In Woods Off Route 13

A homeless man was found dead in a wooded area off Route 13 in Bristol Township’s Croydon section on Monday.

Medics and police were called to the roughly 55-acre densely wooded lot next to the AMF Bristol Pike Lanes along Route 13 mid-morning Monday for a report of a “possible expiration,” a source said.

Nearby residents alerted LevittownNow.com to police activity and the coroner’s office being at the scene.

Police Lt. Ralph Johnson said the homeless man appeared to have died of natural causes.

Around 12:30 p.m., the coroner’s office left the scene and police talked to two civilians.

Several no trespassing signs went up at the property after Beverly Winder was killed at a homeless camp in the woods when a tree fell on her in mid-September 2018.
