Come spring, work will begin to update Basin Street in the area of Bristol Borough’s Waterfront Park and the base of Mill Street.
Council approved a $142,588 contract with UGS Concrete to rework the area, which connects the central business district to the riverfront park and large free parking lot.

The work will include making the small roadway and intersection safer, a bit larger, and adding a marked crosswalk. One utility pole will have to be relocated.
The project has been on the borough’s agenda for a while and is budgeted for the new year.
