A 52-year-old Levittown man has been accused of stealing from the closed Ballpark Tavern.
In mid-October, the owner of the Ballpark Tavern, which was shuttered by authorities due to numerous reported problems, called police to report a theft of copper pipping from the exterior of the building along Route 13 near Edgely Road in Bristol Township, law enforcement said.

Later on the same day, the owner called police again and reported more copper was stolen from the building, authorities said.
The thefts happened on air conditioning units at the building and caused an estimated $10,000 in damage, police said.

The son of Ballpark Tavern’s owner reported seeing a man carrying a green tote that was from the business toward a scrap metal business off Green Lane, police said.

An officer responded to the scrap metal business and learned that William James Neff had sold them 19 pounds of copper and received a little more than $35. The green tote had been left behind, police said.
Neff was located and told an investigator he took copper piping from the Ballpark Tavern and sold it. He was located with the money from the scrap metal business, police said.

Neff was charged last month with criminal mischief, theft, and receiving stolen property. He was remanded to the Bucks County Corretional Facility on 10 percent of $50,000 bail by District Judge Robert Wagner Jr.
