“Our main goal this Friday night is to keep people safe from being hurt by impaired drivers in the first place,” said District Attorney Matt Weintraub. “That being said, please don’t drink or do drugs and drive. Be safe.”
The checkpoint will also be manned by officers from the Bedminster Township Police Department, Bensalem Township Police Department, Doylestown Township Police Department, Dublin Borough Police Department, Hilltown Township Police Department, Newtown Township Police Department, Plumstead Township Police Department, Quakertown Borough Police Department and the Warrington Township Police Department along with troopers from the state police.
The DUI task force puts checkpoints around the county throughout the year. The work is funded through a PennDOT grant.
