According to Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack, a private infrastructure company, Henkels and McCoy, was installing new utility poles when they saw a liquid in a hole that they thought couldโ€™ve been an old 55-gallon drum of hazardous material.

Along with the fire company, the countyโ€™s hazmat team, Dow Chemical’s hazmat team, the Goodwill Hose Company, the America Hose Hook and Ladder, and the Bucks County Rescue Squad all responded to the call.

Slack said that after testing the hole where the pole was supposed to be installed, there were no signs of hazardous material.
