Police said in court papers that the bullet exited an apartment in the C building and went through two walls, a hallway, entered another apartment, struck more walls, hit a bookcase, and came to rest on the floor of a bedroom.
Two people inside another C building apartment said the bullet came very close to hitting them, causing them to be in fear for their lives. The two heard a loud bang and found the projectile in their bedroom, police said.
Joseph Matthew Belsky, 31, told a detective he accidentally fired a gun while showing a friend. He stated he did not realize the bullet exited his apartment, according to court papers.
