August 15

Possession Of Marijuana

Officers were notified by radio of an accident in the area of Lincoln Highway and Durham Road. When officers got on location, they were approached by an officer from Middletown Township who stated he had witnessed the crash. After a short investigation of the accident, officers found a pink pouch that contained a substance similar to marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The substance will be tested and a 20-year-old man will be charged pending the outcome of lab testing.

August 25

Assault

Officers went to an apartment in Mill Creek for a report of a domestic. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a recent assault with injuries. The victim stated that the subject who assaulted her was her 55-year-old boyfriend who had left prior to police arrival. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was found the next day and arrested for the assault on his girlfriend. On August 28, the 55-year-old man was found at the apartment in defiance of a court order not to go back to the apartment or have any contact with the victim and was arrested a 2nd time. Unable to post bail, he was sent to Bucks County Prison until he could post bail or until his next court hearing.

August 29

Arrests

Officers from Penndel, Langhorne, Langhorne Manor, Hulmeville, Middletown Township, Lower Southampton Township, Pennsylvania State Police, and Pennsylvania Constables performed a warrant sweep throughout Penndel, Langhorne, Langhorne Manor and Hulmeville boroughs, Middletown and Lower Southampton townships in an effort to clear District Judge Daniel Baranoski’s 11,000 outstanding cases. In Penndel, 7 suspects were arrested on outstanding warrants.

September 1

Possession Of Marijuana

Officers in the 400 block of West Lincoln Hwy observed a vehicle traveling westbound with a broken rear tail light. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver and sole occupant as a 43-year-old woman. While officers were speaking with the woman, they noticed the distinct smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers discovered a baggie of suspected marijuana in the center console along with drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

September 4

Arrest

Officers responded to a fire call on Monroe Street. While talking to the occupants of the house, a 28-year-old man was found to have an active warrant from Philadelphia police. The warrant was confirmed and the man was detained until the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office could pick him up.

September 9

Assault

Officers were dispatched for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a broken window and a male and female in a physical altercation. The 29-year-old woman had come to the apartment unannounced to pick up belongings and got into a verbal argument, which quickly turned physical. Through an investigation, it was found that the woman had initiated the fight which caused injuries to her boyfriend. The woman was subsequently arrested and charged.
