Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the flames were stopped before they spread to the home. However, they did damage the back porch.
The residents were home and escaped without injury, Dippolito said.
After an investigation, it was determined the blaze was sparked by a cigarette that was discarded in a cardboard box, the fire marshal said.

Crews from the America Hose Hook and Ladder, Bristol Consolidated, Croydon, Cornwells, Edgely, Goodwill Hose, and Union fire companies responded along with the Bucks County Rescue Squad, township police, and fire police.
At the time the call came in, most of Bristol Township’s volunteer companies were dealing with a small fire in a bathroom exhaust fan at the Keystone Industrial Park.
