A mother has been charged after she allegedly took her child for which she did not have custody, according to authorities.
A member of the Bucks County Rangers were called to Core Creek Park in Middletown on Saturday, September 15 at 12:18 p.m. for a man who was reporting his 3-year-old son was missing.

The father said the boy was last seen with his birth mother and both disappeared after walking toward a public bathroom at the county-owned park. The father checked on the two and found that both were not in the bathroom. Sitting nearby on the walking path was one of the boy’s toy, rangers said.
The mother – Casandra L. Ketterer, 31, of Bensalem – did not have custody of the child but was allowed to visit her son under the father’s supervision between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays at a public space. The father having sole custody of the boy was confirmed, according to court papers filed by rangers.
The investigation into the missing boy led authorities to Swan Lane in Bristol Township’s Levittown section where Ketterer was found with her boyfriend and the missing boy, rangers said.

Ketterer reportedly told rangers that she left Core Creek Park with the boy because she wanted to spend more time with him. She stated she took the boy to her boyfriend’s car and drove off.
Rangers said Ketterer knew she did not have sole custody of the boy.

Ketterer was charged with interfering with the custody of a child. She was arraigned and remained in the Bucks County Correctional Facility as of Tuesday morning on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
According to court records, Ketterer was out on bail on an August burglary and criminal mischief case out of Middletown.
