
New handicap ramps are coming to Middletown’s Levittown section.
The Middletown Board of Supervisors voted this week to award Ramos and Associates a contract of $195,000 to install the ramps, make modifications, crosswalks, stop bars, and signage.

The township will improve pedestrian access at 10 intersections along Hollow Road in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Six bids for the work came in and the final bid was $5,000 under the expected cost.
The Supervisors also approved purchasing a 230 kilowatt generator from Cummins Sales and Service for $48,975 and design and technical assistance services from Tangible Consulting for $48,800.

The generator will be installed with assistance from the public works department and save the township about $49,000, Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls said.
The Municipal Building’s generator was installed when the facility opened in 2001 and provides emergency power the building, including police department and emergency operations center.
