A familiar face was back at the Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday evening.
Michael Clarke, the solicitor for the township who was suspended in July for the “foreseeable future,” was back in action and handling the township’s business at an explosive meeting.

Clarke decline to elaborate, but Board of Supervisors Chairman Bob Harvie stated that Clarke had made amends for the hot mic comments that got him in trouble earlier this summer.
Harvie noted that the suspension was not permanent, and he felt the situation had been resolved.
At the June Supervisors meeting, Clarke made an off-the-cuff comment that Falls Township was “constantly applauding people for doing their jobs.” He further said that public works staff was “just as important” on delivering services. Shortly after, an off-color joke about kids coming up looking for their parent and that he may be their father could be heard, according to video and audio that was reviewed by LevittownNow.com.

The comments came during a portion of the meeting which featured elementary school students who served as police chief for a day and a law enforcement awards ceremony that featured recognition for several life-threatening incidents.
Sources said at the time that the comments ruffled some feathers in the township and led to the elected officials suspending Clarke while continuing to use his firm Rudolph Clarke.
