Addiction Prevention & Recovery Open House Being Held Monday

An Addiction Prevention and Recovery Open House will be held Monday. People can also check McShin Foundation treatment programs if they can’t make it to the recovery program. 

The event hosted by State Sen. Steve Santarsiero will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at William Penn Middle School at 1524 Derbyshire Road in Lower Makefield.

The event will feature Diane Rosati, executive director of the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, speaking and a number of organizations, including Bucks County Opportunity Council, Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA), Bucks County Department of Housing and Human Services, Bucks County Department of Children and Youth, Bucks County Department of Mental Health, Aldie Counseling Center, Penn Foundation, Gaudenzia- Lower Bucks, Legal Aid, Family Service Association of Bucks County, Recovery Centers of America, and Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Centers.

“Addiction plagues many communities, including our own here in Bucks County. Supporting those seeking help for themselves or a loved one is critical,” Santarsiero said. “Addiction comes in many forms. That is why this open house will provide attendees with a wide range of services and resources.”

The event is free and open the entire community. Pizza for the event will be donated by Villa Rosa Italian Restaurant in Lower Makefield.
