Fundraiser Being Held For Area Tow Truck Operator Hurt In Crash

A fundraiser for an area tow truck operator who was badly hurt in a Philadelphia crash is being held this month.

A fundraiser for Magnum Bower will be held at 6:30 p.m. August 17 at Rafters Venue, 101 Friends Lane in Newtown. On the date of the event, a Benefit Ride will form at 3:30 p.m. at Rob’s Collision and Automotive, 2700 Veterans Highway (Route 413), in Bristol Township, and wend its way to Rafters Venue. The ride is free and all bikers, truck drivers, car collectors/clubs, police, EMS, and anyone else who has wheels, and would like to join this free ride to support Magnum –  and call attention to the Slow Down, Move Over Law – is welcome to participate.

Tickets to the benefit are $35 per person and are available via Venmo to @MagnumStrength no later than Tuesday, August 6. Or Stop by Morrisville Night Out on Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. at Williamson Park at 147 North Delmorr Avenue.

Bower, 28, a heavy-duty tow truck operator, was critically injured May 7 after being struck by a stake body truck, according to Philadelphia police.

Bower spent 10 days in Jefferson Health Hospital in Torresdale, and is currently undergoing therapy  at Moss Rehabilitation in Elkins Park.
