This Saturday, take a stroll along the path of the historic Delaware Canal in Bristol Borough.
The Friends of the Delaware Canal group is hosting the two-mile guided walking tour that will share the stories and sites along the canal, which runs the 60-mile distance between Bristol Borough and Easton.

The tour, which will take place on the same day the Puerto Rican Day Festival, starts at 4 p.m. along the river near the Mill Street parking lot and continues to Jefferson Avenue. Along the path, those who take part will learn about steamboats, the locks, various features of the canal, industrial developments along the path, and two unique bump bridges.
Along the canal, the Friends of the Delaware Canal recently upgraded 12 new markers that tell the story of the canal in Bristol. The signs follow the path of the canal from the Lagoon to the river.
The guided walk is free, but donations are always accepted by the Friends of the Delaware Canal.
