After being closed since February, the Wistar Road bridge is reopening Friday.
The span that crosses the Mill Creek in Fairless Hills will open at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Bristol Township officials announced during Thursday evening’s Council meeting.

The deck of the bridge that was constructed in 1978 was replaced this summer and had some additional repair work completed over the past few months. Crews poured the new concrete deck in just 12 hours in early June.
For years, the bridge has been falling apart. Holes formed in the bridge deck and metal plates sat for years covering them.
Contractor Eastern Highway Specialists was hired for $1,285,000 to complete the bridge refurbishment. The township received $300,000 from the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks for the work.
