If you’ve been in the Aldi store in Middletown recently, you may have noticed the store is emptying out in preparation for the big move.
This coming Monday, the store off Woodbourne Road will close at 1 p.m. as the company preps the opening of their larger, newer location a short distance away at the Target shopping center on East Lincoln Highway.

An Aldi spokesperson confirmed to LevittownNow.com that the new store is slated to open to the public following a ribbon cutting ceremony next Thursday at 8:45 a.m.
Aldi, which also operates a store in Bristol Township, has touted the new store as having more products and space than the soon-to-close location that first opened in 2004. The company noted in a statement that the new store set to open in the closed Staples storefront is going to sell 20 percent more products than the current location.
“The Langhorne community have been loyal Aldi customers since 2004, and we can’t wait to show them how we’ve continued evolving to meet their needs,” said Bob Grammer, Aldi’s Center Valley Division vice president.
