The area’s newest Wawa opened recently.
Wawa celebrated the opening of their location at West Trenton Avenue and Pine Grove Road in Falls Township by offering free coffee last Friday. However, there was not a large celebration that has accompanied other Wawa openings and grand re-openings in the Levittown area over the years.

The new 5,586-square-foot convenience store with 12 gasoline and diesel pumping stations opened after about seven months of construction.
Work to build the Wawa came after a long battle that involved the quick-stop store and the Morrisville Commons shopping center, which also features a 14,578-square-foot Rite Aid and eventually a fast food eatery at the site of a former Acme.
Over the course of the battle to build the Wawa, developer Buckingham Retail Properties and Zimmer Development Company, both based at the same Doylestown Borough address, filed an $11 million lawsuit against nine businesses and residents who opposed plans for the site in 2015.

According to county court records, the lawsuit was settled and discontinued in late August. Details on the settlement was not immediately available.
