State Rep. John Galloway, a Democrat from Falls Township, will host his fifth annual free shredding event in the Westaby Hall Parking Lot, 425 Hood Boulevard in Fairless Hills on Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full.

Residents are encouraged to bring any documents containing sensitive or personal information such as credit card statements or applications, medical records, pay stubs, insurance records and retirement or pension fund information.
Documents will be shredded on site and then recycled. Galloway said he can accept two boxes or bags worth of documents per person. He noted that staples in papers are ok, but all non-paper waste and paper clips must be removed from attendees’ bags and boxes.
While the event is free, those attending are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to a local food bank.

“Shredding personal documents is an effective and eco-friendly way to protect yourself from identity theft, so I’m happy to offer this service to my constituents,” Galloway said.
