The Middletown Senior Citizens’ Association is among 49 groups that will benefit from the lottery.
Gov. Tom Wolf’s office announced Friday that the Middletown Senior Citizens’ Association, which is based at the Raymond P. Mongillo Sr. Community Center on Trenton Road, will receive $34,867 in funding from the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The funds provided through the program were announced during Older Americans Month.
In total, 49 senior centers throughout the state received a total of $2 million.
Since the Pennsylvania Lottery sold its first ticket in 1972, it has generated more than $29 billion for senior citizens in the state.
