High winds brought down a tree and damaged a utility pole along North Woodbourne Road in Middletown Saturday morning.
Fire crews were initially called for a pole that was smoking near Styer Orchard between Kilburn and Big Oak roads around 10 a.m.

Middletown public works staff put up barricades to stop traffic as PECO crews began efforts to repair the damage.
As of 2:30 p.m., the road remained closed.
