Falls Twp. Hosting Third Annual Touch A Truck Event

For five hours later this month, parents and kids will have the chance to put their hands on trucks of all types – from construction to firefighting.

Falls Township is gearing up to host their third annualย Touch a Truck event on Saturday, April 27 at Falls Township Community Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first hour of the event is sensory friendly and focused toward children with special needs.ย

The township expects dozens of large trucks,ย excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles, and various types of heavy machinery will be on display. Kids will also be allowed to climb on and explore many of the trucks and pieces of equipment.ย 

The free event will also feature giveaways, bounce houses,ย face painting, a balloon artist, DJ, and food available for purchase from Levittown Fire Company No. 1.

The nonprofitย Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation will be holding a charity raffle forย July 13 Phillies-Nationals game tickets.ย NBC Sports Philadelphia hostย Michael Barkann will make an appearance at the event and announce the raffle ticket winner. The Touch A Truck event was brainstormed byย Falls Township Supervisor Jeff Boraski and the townshipโ€™s Parks and Recreation Department.ย 

During theย sensory-friendly first hour of the event,ย representatives from The Center for Autism will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
