For five hours later this month, parents and kids will have the chance to put their hands on trucks of all types – from construction to firefighting.
Falls Township is gearing up to host their third annual Touch a Truck event on Saturday, April 27 at Falls Township Community Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first hour of the event is sensory friendly and focused toward children with special needs.

The township expects dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles, and various types of heavy machinery will be on display. Kids will also be allowed to climb on and explore many of the trucks and pieces of equipment.
The free event will also feature giveaways, bounce houses, face painting, a balloon artist, DJ, and food available for purchase from Levittown Fire Company No. 1.
The nonprofit Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation will be holding a charity raffle for July 13 Phillies-Nationals game tickets. NBC Sports Philadelphia host Michael Barkann will make an appearance at the event and announce the raffle ticket winner. More information on the raffle can be found online.

The Touch A Truck event was brainstormed by Falls Township Supervisor Jeff Boraski and the township’s Parks and Recreation Department.
During the sensory-friendly first hour of the event, representatives from The Center for Autism will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
