
Students raised more than $1,100 to support the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force’s upcoming #HoldOnYouMatter Walk.
Roughly 500 Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School students took to the school’s track in Bristol Township on Friday to take part in their own walk ahead of the larger fundraising event scheduled for Sunday, April 28 at Bucks County Technical High School.

Health teacher Bob Kinney and National Alliance on Mental Health Bucks County Outreach and Development Director Nick Emeigh said each student who took part donated a few dollars that will support the school’s team in the larger #HoldOnYouMatter Walk.
Kevin Boles, the middle school’s principal, said suicide and thoughts of suicide are something students deal with first hand. He mentioned the impact a past student suicide has had on him as an educator.
Friday’s afternoon walk fell on an sunny afternoon where temperatures reached the 70s.
