There was a lot of sizzle, but Bam Margera’s April Fool’s Day bash that ended up in Bristol Township’s Croydon section was pretty tame.
The crowd numbered at around 200 people who skated, enjoyed some fresh beer at the Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, and got to see and meet Margera and singer-rapper Yelawolf.

The planned concert by Yelawolf did not take place due to a problem getting power to the turntables on the stage in the brewery’s warehouse. Comedian Vinny Beedle, who goes by Not So Slim Shady, entertained the crowd for most of the evening.
Former pro-skater Margera, who has been in rehab and recently a behavioral health facility, thanked the crowd for showing up after it had changed locations three times previous.
An injunction blocked him from having the event at his home in Pocopson Township in Chester County. Plans to relocate the party to FDR Park in Philadelphia and to the Battleship New Jersey in Camden all fell through.

“There were cops sitting outside my house,” he said.
Yelawolf and Margera ended up arriving around 9 p.m. The $100-per-ticket event was set to start at 7 p.m.

Before the two performers arrived, Zach Holmes, the star of MTV’s stunt show “Too Stupid to Die,” made an appearance on the stage. In true form, Holmes was kicked in the testicles by a crew member with steel toe boots.
However, aside from a few kicks to the testicles, the event was tame and didn’t include outrageous stunts that made Margera and the crew from MTV’s “Jackass” international stars in the early 2000s.
While there was the potential and some concern by neighbors that the event would be out of hand, Jeremy Myers, co-owner of Neshaminy Creek Brewing, was true to his word and hosted the well-staffed bash that was well organized and had little impact on nearby residences.

Every so often, a police vehicle drove past, but no major problems were reported.
Myers told LevittownNow.com that Margera had posted the brewery as the location before his team had a chance to confirm. At that point, the staff, who was already working on doing inventory, put all their efforts toward pulling off the event.

“Before we confirmed it, it was posted to Bam Margera’s Instagram page with two million followers,” Myers said before the event.
Bam Margera’s parents, April and Phil, said about 200 tickets were sold in advance for the event.

“This wouldn’t be a Bam thing if it wasn’t last minute,” April Margera said with a laugh.
MTV star Holmes, an Indiana native, said he flew in from Los Angles to support Margera, a friend of his. For the last minute nature of the event, he said he was impressed Margera pulled it off.

An attendee from Delaware County who went by the nickname “Run” said he was happy with the event, even if Yelawolf did not perform.
Ryan McKenna, a Levittown resident, heard about the event through a friend late Monday afternoon and was a bit disappointed by how it turned out.
“I first saw it and thought it was an April Fools’ joke,” he said.
