Six months after its closure, repair work along Haines Road is moving along.
Crews have been spotted in recent weeks ripping up the roadway and replacing the pipe that led to the street surface starting to collapse over the Delaware Canal between Route 13 and Junewood Drive in Bristol Township.

The area has been blocked off since September 12 when a crew from the Bristol Township Public Works Department noticed the road was crumbling.
It was not immediately clear when repair work would be completed, but crews appeared to have replaced the pipe and were working on filling in the bed of Haines Road.
Previously, Bristol Township officials placed the blamed for the delay on state officials, and State Rep. Tina Davis wrote a letter to the DCNR secretary asking for progress.

Bristol Township and the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority have worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), which owns the pipe that carries the water from Delaware Canal State Park, to get the repair work started.
