The Falls Township Board of Supervisors have once again approved a proposal to complete the Act 101 recycling grant application.
The approved expenditure, which granted $4,800 to F.X. Browne Inc. for completing the application, typically yields the township state grants averaging $80,000 annually.

According to officials, grant amounts are based on total tonnage for residential and commercial properties in 2018. F.X. Browne, Inc., as part of its proposal, will obtain valid documentation needed for the application. F.X. Browne has successfully submitted the township’s grant applications for nearly 20 years, officials said.
“It brings in revenue ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 every year,” said Falls Finance Director Betsy Reukauf. “Itโs well worth the cost of the proposal.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to recycle as much material as possible since every little bit can increase the number of potential grant funds, officials said.
