Just weeks after several local schools received state funds to improve science and technology education, more funds are being awarded.
The Bucks County Intermediate Unit will receive $412,656 from aย PAsmart advancing grant and an additional $484,689 for a partnership program, according to state officials.

โThese grants will help our schools and communities to expand STEM and computer science education. That will strengthen our workforce, so businesses can grow, and workers have good jobs that can support a family,” Gov. Tom Wolf said in a statement.
As more and more jobs requireย workers to use computers and new technologies, the state has been working with schools to create and fund new science and technology education, according to the governor’s office.
