
A home in Bristol Township’s Croydon section was damaged by fire on Black Friday.
Firefighters were called to the residence in the 600 block of 6th Avenue after an alarm company picked up a smoke detector activation. The resident called 9-1-1 a short time later.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the second floor of the home was heavily damaged by fire and the first floor suffered water damage.
No injuries were reported.
The fire appears to have been started by an electrical issue in the attic, Dippolito said.

The home was insured and the Red Cross was assisting the residents.
The America Hose Hook and Ladder, Bristol, Edgely, Newportville, Third District, and Union fire companies assisted the Croydon Fire Company at the scene. The Bucks County Rescue Squad also responded.
