The Levittown-area’s four school districts will each receive school safety grants that are being doled out by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and the governor’s School Safety and Security Committee.

The Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Neshaminy, and Pennsbury school districts are among school systems in the county and state that will receive $25,000 each to support school safety. Under the law, schools have can use their funds to perform school safety assessments; purchase security-related technology and equipment; support school safety-related and behavioral-health trainings; prepare all-hazards plans; hire school resource officers, school police officers, school counselors, social workers and school psychologists; and provide for trauma-informed approaches to education.
