UPDATE: Standoff Ends Peacefully

“The situation this afternoon at Eastern Dawn Trailer Park was resolved peacefully. The subject causing the problem is in custody and no one was injured. Thanks for your patience,” police said in a Facebook post.

Police from across Lower Bucks County were called to a mobile home community across from a Neshaminy School District elementary school in Lower Southampton.

The standoff started late Monday afternoon at the Eastern Dawn Mobile Home Park on Brownsville Road. The mobile home community is across from Tawanka Elementary School.

In addition to Lower Southampton officers, police from Middletown and other surrounding departments were on the scene. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad were called along with the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad.

The details on what started the standoff were unclear but the incident appeared to be ongoing as of 5:30 p.m. Brownsville Road remained open in the area.
