A Bristol Township man will spend years in state prison for a series of crimes, including a $43,000 heist at an area supermarket.
Jared Robert Aichele, 36, pleaded guilty to firearms possession by a prohibited person, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit theft by deception, and delivery of a controlled substance on Monday at the Bucks County Justice Center in Doylestown Borough before Bucks County Judge Theodore Fritsch Jr.

According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, Aichele was sentenced to eight to 20 years for the firearms offenses, and concurrent sentences of three and one-half to seven years each for theft and drug cases. The sentence was part of a plea agreement between defense attorney Lou Busico and A.J. Garabedian.
Aichele was convicted in 2000 for robbery and aggravated assault and in 2008 for burglary, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm or obtain a license to carry.
Aichele, according to prosecutors, was behind a May 2016 robbery at the Acme on New Falls Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section. He walked in wearing a motorcycle helmet, pulled a handgun, forced an employee in the back cash room, and stole $43,207. He placed zip-ties on employee Danielle Marie Drum’s hands before leaving.

Drum, 35, of Levittown, was later discovered to have contacted Aichele leading up to the robbery and about 30 minutes afterward. She later admitted to helping Aichele plan and stage the heist in exchange for $7,000 and 35 Percocet pills, authorities said.
Authorities said Aichele also sold pills to an informant in Bristol Township on two occasions. In addition, he was pulled over by Bristol Borough police and found with a loaded semiautomatic handgun and a second handgun with an obliterated serial number under the driver’s seat. The traffic stop arrest led to an hours-long standoff with another wanted man in Bristol Borough last December.

Drum has already pleaded guilty to theft-related charges. She will be sentenced next month.
