Installing a child’s car seat isn’t always easy. For example, ask any parent, aunt and uncle, or grandparent who has had the task in front of them.
Residents of Lower Bucks County will have the chance to make sure the child’s seat in their vehicle is actually doing its job to keep the youngest travelers safe.

St. Mary Medical Center will host a “Seat Check Saturday” at Playwicki Farm, 2350 Bridgetown Pike, in Lower Southampton from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on September 29. Pre-registration is requested for the free safety checks that will give parents peace of mind and protect children.
“St. Mary’s team of trained and certified team of technicians will check and adjust car seats, as well as educate families about new recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics,” a hospital spokesman said.
A similar seat check will be hosted Saturday, October 6 at St. Mary Medical Center, 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Road, in Middletown from 9 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is requested.

The child seat checks are held in conjunction with the Injury Prevention Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
