Pedestrian Seriously Hurt In Route 13 Crash

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV on Route 13 Tuesday morning.

The pedestrian was struck as the Jeep, which was operated by a New Jersey man, turned onto southbound Route 13 on the green arrow near Bath Road. The 36-year-old Bensalem male pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when he was hit, police said.

The Bensalem man was seriously injured and he was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.

Witnesses said the struck pedestrian laid injured in the roadway and was aided by passersbys until medics were able to take him.

The Jeep stopped at the scene.
