Bucks County Community College will host a panel discussion on the challenges of a free press in a democratic society.
The panel will be held Tuesday from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the community college’s Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.

A constitution scholar, editors, and reporters will take part in the panel that will be moderated by faculty member and Bristol Borough resident Bill Pezza. The panel will consist of: Scott Bomboy, editor-in-chief at National Constitution Center in Philadelphia; Shane Fitzgerald, executive editor at the Bucks County Courier Times; Phil Gianficaro, columnist at the Intelligencer; James McGinnis, reporter at the Bucks County Courier Times; J.D. Mullane, columnist at the Bucks County Courier Times; and Tom Sofield, publisher and editor at LevittownNow.com.
The event is free and open to community college students and the public. It will be held to mark Constitution Day, which is Monday.
