A Middletown resident dealt with a scary incident last week when a man attempted to enter their home, according to police.

Last Friday around 1:45 a.m., a resident on Terrace Road in Levittown called authorities to report a man was on the roof of their home and trying to gain access through an upstairs window. The resident told the authorities he was “looking for Roquan” and got off the roof before attempting to enter the home through the front door, police wrote in court papers.

The man was last spotted walking toward Pearl S. Buck Elementary School, the resident told police.

A responding officer arrived and stopped the man, identifying him as Dayne Vincent Wallace, 19, of Morrisville.

While speaking with Wallace, the officer detected the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the 19-year-old man and noted his slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, police said.

Wallace is alleged to have said he was coming from North Park Drive and then stated he was coming from Tweed Road. He, according to police, was unable to fully explain where he came from or was going.

The resident of the Terrace Road home positively identified Wallace as the man attempting to open his bedroom window and a second witness said they saw Wallace walking from the Terrace Road home, court papers stated.

Wallace was charged with attempted trespassing, trespassing, loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct, purchase alcohol by a minor, and public drunkenness. He was arraigned and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $50,000, which was later released this week to $1,000 unsecured.
