According to court papers filed by Pennsylvania State Police, a trooper ended up behind a Chevrolet TrailBlazer on I-95 north early last Thursday morning as it headed from Bensalem into Bristol Township. The vehicle was traveling below the speed limit and its New Jersey registration came back as “registration surrendered.”

The vehicle pulled over in Bristol Township and there was a “strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle’s interior,” state police said.

Esteban Taveras was the vehicle owner and unable to produce the registration. Urena was driving and had a suspended license, state police said.

Troopers allegedly pulled all three men out of the vehicle and found Urena had a small red capsule with suspected marijuana remnants in it.

State police said they found a small amount of marijuana in the SUV and a “large amount of compressed white powder.”

A police K-9 unit from Falls Township was called in and reportedly hit on the powder.

Troopers transported the men and suspected drugs to their barracks in Bensalem.
