Two county parks in Middletown will have their tennis courts refreshed.

The Bucks County Commissioners voted last week to pay $141,530 to Nickolaus Construction Company of Vincetown, New Jersey, to repair and resurface the existing tennis courts at the Frosty Hollow Tennis Center in the Levittown section and Core Creek Park in the Langhorne section of Middletown.

The work will repair the aging courts at the two county park facilities, officials said.

The Commissioners also approved conservation easements totaling more than $1 million for properties in Nockamixon Township, Plumstead Township, Richland Township, and Springfield Township. So far, the county has preserved more than 215 farms and 26.5 square miles from development.

During their meeting, the Commissioners donated $1,000 for the Special Equestrians summer program, $2,400 for the Twilight Wish Foundation, and $1,600 for the Bucks County Association for the Blind.
