No serious injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash that split a utility pole and closed a busy section of Veterans Highway (Route 413) on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. when a car with a driver and two passengers slammed into the rear of two other vehicles that were headed north, bounced off the guard rail, crossed the southbound lanes, struck a utility pole, slammed a sign, and ended up coming to a rest on the front lawn of quick-service eatery Zio Gio, Bristol Township police said.

The section of Veterans Highway between New Falls Road and Bath Road was closed for a while.
Police said they suspect the driver of the striking vehicle may have been under the influence of narcotics and drew blood samples for lab testing.
Firefighters from several companies responded along with fire police and medics from the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and Bensalem EMS.
