Marine units from the Croydon Fire Company and Burlington City were dispatched at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday for the rescue, according to Bucks County dispatchers.
Helicopter video from 6abc showed several people on the island with an inflatable raft andย kayak. The video also showed a emergency response boat being used to pick up the stranded individuals.
The boaters reportedly left from a dock in Bristol Township’s Croydon section and that is where rescuers returned the rescuedย individuals, 6abc reported.
