A 46-year-old man who was covered in blood resisted arrest Tuesday afternoon in Bristol Borough, according to police.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of Trenton Avenue for a reported domestic assault in progress around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday. Preliminary information stated a man was outside hitting a female before he ran away toward Harrison Street, police said.

An officer arrived and spotted a blood-covered James Allen Crohe of Bristol Borough. He ran off and was captured during a brief foot pursuit, police said.
Crohe was reportedly bleeding from various spots on his face.
He was arraigned early Wednesday morning before on-call District Judge Daniel Finello on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, and harassment. The 46 year old was sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $25,000 and released Wednesday after posting bail.
