A New Jersey woman was charged this week with allegedly running over her sister.
In the affidavit of probable cause filed Wednesday, Bristol Township police said they responded early in the morning of June 5 to Lower Bucks Hospital for a woman who said she was run over by a vehicle.

An officer talked with the woman at the hospital while she was suffering from serious pain and receiving medical care. She reportedly told police her sister – Jesica Bindewald, 35, of Willingboro, New Jersey – intentionally struck her with a sedan.
Bindewald’s sister said she invited her sibling over and they had a few drinks at a home in the 900 block of Winder Drive. From there, an argument about staying at their family’s shore house took place while Bindewald was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle on Winder Drive, police said.
While the two were arguing, a drink fell off the roof of Bindewald’s 2008 Honda Accord and her sister hit the door with her hand, asking her to leave, police said.

“The victim reported she began to walk towards her driveway. The defendant backed up, then drove forward striking her with the vehicle intentionally,” police wrote in court papers.
The woman said she fell to the ground after being struck by Bindewald’s vehicle and blacked out for a moment.

While outside, Bindewald’s sister called for help and her boyfriend came outside. He then took her to the hospital for treatment, police said.
Bindewald’s sister received four stitches above her left orbital bone, had a broken left arm, and four broken bones in her foot, police said.
Bindewald was arraigned Wednesday morning before Senior District Judge Leonard Brown on two counts of aggravated assault and single counts of simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment. She was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
