Falls Township police said a 27-year-old Levittown-area resident was ejected from his vehicle in the crash.

The badly injured man was rushed by medics to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown and was not expected to survive, police said. An earlier LevittownNow.com report stated the man had passed was incorrect and has been updated.
The man’s vehicle continued rolling into the wooded area off Route 1 south after he was ejected, police said.
No one else was hurt and no other vehicles were involved.

As of 2:15 p.m., Route 1 south remained closed between the Route 13 interchange and the Oxford Valley Road interchange. Traffic was backed up into New Jersey and Lincoln Highway was jammed due to the closure. Police said the closure is expected to last until 4 p.m.
Police said it took about two hours to clear vehicles in southbound lanes of the highway in the area of the wreck. Traffic had to be turned around so they could exit the highway.

A serious crash on Route 1 southbound in Falls Township closed the highway as of 1:30 p.m.

The serious crash happened near the bend between Stony Hill Road and the Oxford Valley Road interchange shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Route 1 southbound was closed at Route 13 to the Oxford Valley Road interchange.
Crews from the Langhorne-Middletown and Fairless Hills fire companies were called to the scene along with the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
