Falls Township police wrote in court papers that they learned on May 25 around 8 p.m. that a maroon 2013 Ford Fusion was expected to travel through Route 1 south in the township and was being pursued by police out of Trenton. Before Falls Township officers were able to join the pursuit, the chase was on I-95 southbound headed toward Bensalem and Philadelphia.

A short time later, Falls Township police were alerted that the chase was headed northbound on I-95 toward Route 1. Officers rushed to Route 1 northbound at the Oxford Valley interchange and deployed stop sticks.

Dawkins sped up the Oxford Valley Road ramp off Route 1 and then reentered Route 1 northbound by swerving around cars and avoided the stop sticks, police said.

Officers noted in their report that Dawkins was driving down the Route 1 ramp at close to 90 mph.

Shortly after, the chase zoomed through the Commons of Fallsington apartment complex and ended when Dawkins lost control, police said.

The Trentonian newspaper reported that Dawkins struck a Trenton police car at the end of the chase.

A Trenton police detective captured Dawkins and Falls Township police found 50 suspected bags of heroin. The evidence was sent to the crime lab for review, police said.
