Following concerns from parents and middle schoolers, authorities in Bristol Township have said there is “no recent credible threats” involving Neil A. Armstrong Middle School or its students.
Parents and students on Tuesday night began contact LevittownNow.com and post on social media about rumors that an Armstrong student was reportedly making a threat.

“Despite information posted on a non-district Facebook page, there are no recent threats to the safety of the students at Armstrong Middle School,” a letter sent to parents said.
The district said they worked with police and confirmed the information was “unsubstantiated.”
One parent said via phone Wednesday morning that they knew of students who were not going to school due to worry over the rumor.

“With the world now, I wasn’t sure whether I should send [my student] to Armstrong,” the parent said.
“Please continue to encourage your children to come to us with concerns so we can address them promptly and maintain a safe learning environment,” the district statement said.
