โ€œPennsylvania has a proud tradition of winemaking and the industry continues to expand,โ€ Gov. Tom Wolf said. โ€œInvesting in this tremendous opportunity will help to strengthen our economy and builds on efforts to modernize our laws to position Pennsylvania businesses for growth.โ€

The 2016 liquor law reform expanded the Pennsylvania Wine Marketing and Research Board and allowed the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to grant up to $1 million yearly for wine promotion.

โ€œPennsylvaniaโ€™s wine industry contributes $4.8 billion to our stateโ€™s economy,โ€ Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding said. โ€œSupporting wine producers in making the highest quality products is an important investment in the vitality of the industry, and in meeting consumer demand for locally sourced, high quality products.โ€
