Mill Street took on the air of Main Street USA when the season’s first First Friday on the Delaware brought thousands out.

“It is fantastic, Anything that generates energy is a good thing,” said Greg Pezza, an owner of Itri Wood Fired Pizza and a Bristol Borough councilman.

First Fridays continue to add to the momentum that the town has been building over the past year, Pezza said. As a business owner, he welcomes the events which draw more people into the borough.

Philly Phamous, a sandwich shop on Farragut avenue was represented at the event for the first time. The shop’s location is a fair distance from Mill Street.

“It’s crazy and hectic, but it is great,” said Patricia Vallango, the chef and manager of the shop.

“I think it is really going to do us a lot of good,” said Elizabeth Dellavalle, the owner of the store.

Being present at the event means the owners and leadership for local businesses get to meet with more members of the community than they would if they were restricted to their location.

Engaging with the community and meeting people is one boon for business owners at these events.

Noahs Dove Farm is the first farm in Bristol Borough in decades.

“We all know about the revolution but that is really just the start,” said Michael Murray, owner of Noahs Dove Farm. “The town has a whole food scene going and it is exciting.”

The farm has been in Bristol since 2017. It produces locally grown herbs, greens and micro greens on a year-round basis.

“We’re really happy to be here,” Murray said.
